1. Introductions, apologies and substitutions
1.1 The Chair welcomed everybody to the meeting. There were no apologies.
2. Inquiry into Neonatal Care
2.1 The Committee took evidence from the Minister for Health and Social Services and her officials on the neonatal inquiry.
2.2 The Minister agreed to investigate the claim that some transfers had been delayed due to decisions made by ambulance service controllers and write to the Chair with her findings.
2.3 Suzy Davies AM agreed to write to the Minister with her concerns over response times.
3. Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public for item 4
4.1 The motion was agreed.
4. Inquiry into Neonatal Care: Consideration of evidence
4.1 Members agreed to publish a report on their findings.
5. School Standards and Organisation (Wales) Bill: Stage 1 - Evidence Session 2
5.1 The Committee took evidence from Ann Keane, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector for Education and Training in Wales; Meilyr Rowlands, Strategic Director for Estyn; and Simon Brown, Strategic Director for Estyn.
5.2 The Committee agreed to write to Estyn with further questions.
6. School Standards and Organisation (Wales) Bill: Stage 1 - Evidence Session 2
6.1 The Committee took evidence from Dr Chris Llewelyn, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Lifelong Learning, Leisure and Information, Welsh Local Government Association; Ian Budd, Chair of the Association of Directors of Education in Wales; and David Hopkins, Chair of the Welsh Local Government Association.
6.2 The Committee agreed to write to the WLGA and ADEW with further questions.
